University of Wisconsin - Madison Welcomes Houghton to Campus

Valley Forge, PA – November 17, 2017 –

On October 26th 2017 Hank Limper (Sr. Technical Program Manager) and Michael Harris (Technical Sales Rep – WI) presented as guest lecturers to Mechanical Engineering 429; a course specifically focused on metal cutting at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. The students in attendance were graduate level engineering majors aspiring to someday hold management positions within the manufacturing landscape.

UW-Madison currently utilizes HOCUT 795 technology in all of their machine shops on campus and had welcomed Houghton to lead discussions and share expertise with the students. Professor Sangkee Min was very pleased that his students had the opportunity to have an industry expert, such as Hank Limper, offer such an in depth view on the role metal working fluids will play in their eventual careers. The students themselves found the opportunity beneficial, allowing them a distinct advantage in core knowledge of MWF to demonstrate as they pursue post-graduation employment. UW-Madison has happily invited Hank to present during subsequent semesters within similiar metal cutting courses.
